A study conducted in 2015 looked at the effectiveness of suspension training on abdominal muscles versus traditional taping techniques. The aim was to find which was more effective at activating the right muscles to help relieve lower back pain. Floatation therapy in our Sensory deprivation tanks can relieve aches and pains associated with lower back pain and while the idea of suspension training (Crankit) is new, the study found that of all the exercises and taping techniques, the Crank it plank was the most effective and helping manage lower back pain through activation of the right posture and muscle groups. Therefore, suspension training can not only help reduce lower back pain, but work to activate the different core muscles more effectively.
