Our Yoga Styles and Benefits

Elevation Yoga will offer a more active style of yoga founded upon the Yin and Vinyasa arms of the discipline.

Slow Flow is most often used to describe gentle, basic flows between poses. It can serve as a great foundation class for beginners to learn basic poses, movements and relaxation techniques. Slow Flow classes generally consist of slow-paced stretching with simple breathing exercises and meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga is a more active style of yoga, where movements are synchronized with breathing. This style is often referred to as flow or Vinyasa flow, because of the smooth way that the poses run together. With an almost dance like style the breath becomes an important component in Vinyasa and our teachers will instruct on how to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or exhale.

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—five minutes or more per pose is typical. Its teaching in the Western world, beginning in the late 70s, was founded by martial arts expert and Taoist yoga teacher Paulie Zink.

Yoga postures develop strength and flexibility, while soothing nervousness and calming the mind. Health benefits of a maintained practice include improvements in the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system and digestive system.

CrankIT is a Suspension Training based body weight exercise class that develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the CrankIT Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercises.

Elevation will feature well-trained, professional instructors, progressive teaching methods, a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere, and a beautiful light-filled facility.
